Terms of Service
Last updated 22 July 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Invie about your use of our service at invie.com.au. By creating an account or using Invie, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
What Invie is
Invie is a tool for creating digital event invitations. As a host, you can design an invitation, collect RSVPs, manage guests and dietary requirements, publish an event schedule, gather photos and messages in a guestbook, and — where you choose to enable it — collect donations from your guests.
Invie provides the tooling; your event remains yours. You are responsible for the accuracy of your event details (dates, times, venues), for what you send your guests and when, for how you use anything you collect through Invie, and for the running and outcome of your event itself. Invie is not the organiser of your event and is not responsible for it.
Your account and dashboard
Your dashboard login is the control centre for your event: anyone signed in to it can change your invitation, message your guests, manage RSVPs and seating, and access anything your event collects. It is personal to you and is not to be shared.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and do not give others access to your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account, including activity by anyone you allow to use it.
- Tell us at hello@invie.com.au straight away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Keep your login to yourself. Anyone with access to your dashboard can act as you, including sending WhatsApp messages from your linked number and viewing your guest list. If you suspect someone else has access, change your password and unlink WhatsApp right away. Invie is not responsible for actions taken through your account with credentials you shared, or that were compromised outside our systems.
We are not liable for loss that results from someone using your account with credentials you shared or failed to keep secure.
Plans and publishing
Designing and previewing your event is always free. A free draft lets you build everything and add up to 10 guests so you can try the service. Nothing is sent to your guests until you publish, which requires a paid plan.
- Essentials — $129, a one-time fee per event. Publishes your invitation to your guests with the core RSVP and guest-management features.
- Complete — $299, a one-time fee per event. Everything in Essentials plus the fuller feature set, with no per-guest charge.
Plans are a one-time charge per event, not a subscription. You can upgrade from Essentials to Complete at any time by paying the difference. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Send unsolicited messages or spam through Invie, including via WhatsApp. You must only message guests who expect to hear from you about your event.
- Add a guest’s personal information without a reasonable basis or their consent to be contacted about your event.
- Upload, or allow guests to upload, content that is unlawful, infringing, offensive, or that you do not have the right to share.
- Use Invie to breach any law, or to harm, harass, or deceive others.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
You are responsible for your event content and your guest list, and for the content your guests upload to your event. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms.
Sending invites over WhatsApp
When you use Invie to reach your guests on WhatsApp, invites and reminders send from the WhatsApp number you link, using automation that is not officially supported by WhatsApp.
WhatsApp may limit, suspend, or permanently ban numbers it suspects of bulk messaging. We pace sends and cap daily volume to reduce that risk, but we cannot eliminate it, and we cannot restore a number that WhatsApp has restricted. By linking a number you accept this risk, and you agree that Invie is not liable for the restriction, suspension, or loss of your WhatsApp account.
Only message guests who expect to hear from you about your event. If you would not message someone yourself about the occasion, do not add them to a send.
Donations
Some events can collect donations from guests. Donations are processed through the host’s own connected Stripe account, and the funds go directly to the host. Invie takes no cut of donations. Standard Stripe processing fees apply to each donation.
Invie is not a party to any donation. The host is solely responsible for the purpose of the collection, for delivering on any promises made to donors, for any refunds, and for meeting any tax or legal obligations that arise. If you have a question about a donation you made, please contact the host who collected it.
Availability
We work to keep Invie available and reliable, but we provide the service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may perform maintenance or make changes to features over time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with Invie is limited to the fees you paid us for the event to which the claim relates. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Losses arising from WhatsApp restricting your number, or from someone using your credentials, are excluded as described in the sections above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and Invie submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. If you keep using Invie after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
